Intermittent closures and detours will greet drivers on some township streets in the coming weeks as road projects get underway.
The most immediate project will take place on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, between Webster and Renfro roads. That project is expected to begin on Aug. 29 and will continue on Sept. 2 and 3.
Work during those days will be conducted between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., and while the road will remain open, there will be alternating traffic patterns.
Work on Berry Street and School Avenue is expected to begin sometime in September. The intersection will be closed for up to three weeks once the work begins, and School Avenue and Berry Street between Voorhees and Churchill avenues will be closed.
The most ambitious project is the reconstruction and realignment of Route 518 between Carroll Place and Canal Road, which is expected to begin in late September and last through the end of next year.
Intermittent daytime closures and alternating traffic patterns will be expected, and a detour will be posted.
