Unity was ranked 13th nationally on the respected industry list, which reviewed 601 institutions throughout the U.S.

Five township residents have been arrested, and a local heroin distribution ring dismantled, in connection with an investigation authorities dubbed “Operation X Out.”

Several fire fighters were reportedly injured and nine families were displaced as a result of a fire in a multi-unit dwelling on Norwich Place April 25. None of the homes’ residents were injured in the fire, police said.

The Imperia on Easton Avenue will once again be the venue for state Assemblyman Joe Danielsen’s annual Job Fair on April 17. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; the Imperia is located at 1714 Easton Ave.

Twenty/20 Taphouse, the third component of the three-piece “event center” on Cedar Grove Lane, is within a couple weeks of opening. The gastropub will feature craft beers, craft sodas and comfort food.

A microwave oven and a discarded cigarette were blamed for two fires that damaged homes in the township on April 6. The first, reported at 5:49 p.m., was in a Wilson Road home’s kitchen and was apparently started in the microwave, according to a press release from the Franklin Township Police Department.

Township parents will have another option for daycare for their toddlers come this fall, which is when the newest Lightbridge Academy is scheduled to open. The center will be located in the new Shops at Summerfield at Randolph and Schoolhouse roads, and will cater to children aged from 6 weeks to 6 years old.

A 17-year-old Franklin Park woman was seriously injured April 5 after the car she was  driving collided with a Freightliner truck at Olcott Street and Amwell Road, police said. Police said the woman was making a left turn from Olcott to Amwell in a Honda Accord when the accident happened.

A 19-year-old Franklin High School student was arrested April 3 and charged for allegedly phoning in a false bomb threat to the school in January. The woman, Annissia Gayle of Somerset, remained in the Somerset County Jail, Somerville, on April 4 pending her detention hearing, according to court records.

Update: Harriot surrendered to authorities at the Middlesex County Courthouse in New Brunswick at approximately 11 a.m. April 3, according to a release from the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation is still ongoing. Harriot will be held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick pending an April 5 detention hearing, according to the release.
