Bridgewater, NJ – The Camden Riversharks (1-4, 29-46) defeated the Somerset Patriots (2-3, 52-23) 4-3 Tuesday evening at TD Bank Ballpark.
In the top of the third inning second baseman Norberto Susini drew a bases loaded walk to give Camden a 1-0 advantage.
The Patriots scored three times in the bottom of the third inning to take a 3-1 lead. Center fielder Vinny Zarrillo socked a RBI sacrifice fly while first baseman David Vidal ripped a two RBI double.
First baseman Joel Guzman hammered a two run home run (5) to even the contest at 3-3 in the top of the fourth inning.
Left fielder Zach MacPhee sliced a RBI single to give the Riversharks a 4-3 lead in the top of the seventh inning.
Wes Torrez earned the win (4-3) tossing six innings while surrendering three runs. Daniel Sattler sustained the loss (4-2) in relief. Matt Gorgen notched the save (15) pitching the final inning.
The 2015 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue tomorrow when the Somerset Patriots remain at TD Bank Ballpark for a day-night doubleheader against the Camden Riversharks.
