Bridge Lessons – Every Friday, 10:30 a.m.
Body & Brain Yoga with Lucy Pagnetti – Monday, 10:30 a.m. Advance registration required; a $5.00 donation is suggested per class. Body and Brain Yoga is a dynamic mind-body practice that combines stretching, flowing movement, deep breathing exercises and meditation in a simple and easy to learn format that focuses on the development of the body’s core strength as the basis of physical, mental and spiritual health. Bring mats or you can use a chair.

Computer Instruction – Every Monday, 9:00-12:00 pm (Please call for appointment.)

Continuing Art Institute with Karen Haake – Every Tuesday, 1:00-3:00 pm (There is a $10.00 fee, which includes supplies)

Healthy Bones Exercise Class with Joan Ackerman – Monday, 9:15 a.m. (Doctor’s Note Needed for Class)

Line Dancing – Every Friday, 9:30 a.m.

Outdoor Shuffleboard and Horseshoes – Available daily, weather permitting.

Variety of Board & Card Games (such as Dominoes & Checkers) – Available Daily

September 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 – Ageless Grace with Roz Gerken, 10:30 a.m. (This program is designed to be done standing or sitting. Each of the 21 Ageless Grace tools focuses on different techniques: joint mobility, spinal flexibility, right-left brain coordination, cognitive function, systemic stimulation, balance, confidence and playfulness. Ageless Grace is based on the cutting edge science of neuroplasticity-the ability of the brain to change structurally and functionally).

September 2 – State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) – A counselor will be available to provide free help to New Jersey beneficiaries who have problems with, or questions about their health insurance. SHIP is a statewide program by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. Services available by advance appointment).

September 3 – Armchair Travel Presents: “Moscow to Saint Petersburg,” 10:30 a.m. (Passports are not required! Simply sit back and enjoy the river boat excursion from to Moscow all the way to Saint Petersburg).

September 4, 11 & 18 – Learn the Basic Filipino Language with Napoleon Masalunga, 10:30 a.m. (This is Part 6 of Quail Brook’s languages around the world series).

September 7 – Holiday – Center Closed

September 8 – “Hospice Hocus Pocus: Expectations, Benefits, Your Rights & Being Prepared” by Robert Goldbetter, Community Education Liaison, Ascend Health, 10:30 a.m. (Robert will discuss the expectations, benefits and your rights while on hospice).

September 10 – “Beat the Flu Blues: Seminar & Flu Shot Clinic” by Tara Gunthner, RN, Saint Peter’s University Hospital, 10:30 a.m.

September 16 – “An Education on Electronics, Cellphones & Tablets” by oxyGEN-New Jersey, 1:00-3:00 pm (Representatives from oxyGEN-New Jersey will offer individual assistance to people looking to learn more about their devices).

September 17 – “Foot Clinic & Healthy Foot Presentation” by Dr. Sharon Joag, DPM, East Brunswick Foot Care, 10:15 a.m. (Dr. Joag will review proper foot care, shoe choices and will include a FREE screening for those interested. Please call ahead at (732) 563-4213 for an appointment for the screening portion of the program).

September 21 – “Musical Instruments: Around the World” by the Morris Museum’s Traveling Community Outreach Program, 10:30 a.m. (Join us for a multi-sensory exploration of music by seeing, hearing, touching and playing diverse instruments and learn about the culture that created each instrument).

September 22 – “A Good Night’s Sleep” by the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills, 10:30 a.m. (The Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills will provide an overview on the importance of sleep and the ramifications if you don’t get enough. Tips will also be provided on how to achieve a good, beneficial sleep).

September 23 – “Fall Awareness: Seminar with FREE Balance Screenings” by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, 10:30 a.m. (Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital will discuss fall awareness and then provide FREE balance screenings for anyone who requests them).

September 24 – “Tribute to the Twin Towers” by Martin Mueller, Photographer (we will take a special trip to the Manville Senior Center for a special program. Martin will display his collection of photographs on a Tribute to the Twin Towers).

September 25 – Singing Performance by the Canal Walk Choral Group, 10:30 a.m.
