January 8, 15, 22 & 29 – “Take Control of Your Health: Diabetes Self-Management Program,”
10 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Participants will learn techniques for dealing with symptoms of diabetes, including pain, fatigue, hyper/hypoglycemia, stress and depression. The program will also provide information about improving strength and endurance, working effectively with health care providers, appropriate use of medication and healthy eating habits. Each participant will receive a book, titled “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions.” This project was supported, in part by grant number 90CS0042-02-00, from the U.S. Administration for Community Living, Department of Health and Human Services, Washington D.C. 20201.
