Police: Four Somerset Residents Busted While Having Sex In Closed Hotel Room

Four Somerset residents face defiant trespass charges after they were found July 13 having sex in a closed-off portion of a township hotel.

Police said that Satchel Edeen, 18; Alec Smith, 18; Rose Williams, 22 and Brielle Conover-Kueck, 22, were found after staff at the Hotel Somerset called 9-1-1 to report trespassers.

Police said they were led by hotel staff to an area of the hotel that is under construction and that is closed off to the public. According to a release on the incident, officers heard noises coming from a room whose door was partially open.

When they entered the room, police found the four nude and engaging in sexual intercourse, according to the release.

Defiant trespass is a petty disorderly persons offense. Bail for each of the four was set at $1,500 with an option to pay 10 percent; Williams and Conover-Kueck were not able to post bail as of July 14 and were still in custody in the Somerset County Jail, Somerville, while Edeen and Smith posted bail and were released.
