Homewood Suites on Pierce Street held a celebration May 18 to commemorate the refurbishing of its suites and added amenities.
The 11-year-old hotel held a ribbon cutting to memorialize the occasion. Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce president Michael Harris cut the blue ribbon, held by hotel staff and representatives from the Township Council and business community.
“We’re always here to celebrate any of the changes and the new things that our hotels do,” said Township Councilwoman Roz Sherman. “We’re very grateful for your having chosen Franklin.”
Eric Carille, the hotel’s general manager, said each of the property’s 123 suites received a makeover.
“All of our suites have full kitchens, and they were all re-done with stainless steel appliances and glass-top ranges,” he said. “They all have microwaves, dishwashers and full-sized refrigerators with ice makers.”
He said the rooms also received new furniture.
The hotel also sports a new barbecue pit outside, with two stainless steel grills, he said.
