Music, craft beer and food highlight the 2nd Annual “Going for the Green Craft Beer and Music Festival” set for noon to 5 p.m. April 2 at Suydam Farms Greenhouse, 49 Skillmans Lane.
The event is a fundraiser for the Franklin Food Bank, which provides food to those in need in the community. Providing musical entertainment during the day will be The Poorhouse Pickers, Larry Hart, American Beauty and Lesser Seamus.
High Grade Beverage, Hunterdon Distributors, and Shore Point Distributors, are donating the craft beer. Food is provided by Alpine Provisions, which is donating 450 Boar’s Head bratwursts, Bimbo Bread, and Stop & Shop, which is donating chicken wings and soft pretzels. There will also be salads and appetizers available.
Tickets purchased prior to March 31st are only $30 or $40 at the door.
For almost 40 years, the Franklin Food Bank’s mission has been to provide food and assistance to people in need. In 2015 it provided food for 11,271 food packages for Franklin families in need. To learn more about the Franklin Food Bank, visit their website at www.franklinfoodbank.org.
