The 27th annual Tour de Franklin was one for the record books.
The tour, the Franklin Food Bank’s main fundraising effort, drew more than 770 riders and raised at least $78,000, both figures of which are new records, according to food bank officials.
The final tally won’t be known for several days, said the Food Bank’s Nancy LaCorte.
The tour’s HQ was moved to Franklin High School for the first time this year.
A number of events were offered, from 1- to 5-mile rides to a 62.3-mile metric century. Most events started at the high school, but two began at the D&R Canal Towpath on Canal Road.
After completing their events, riders were treated to lunch at the high school.
