Bees Rally Late To Take Series-Opener

June 7, 2018 Somerset Patriots

New Britain, Connecticut –  The Somerset Patriots (22-14) late rally fell short Thursday night in a 5-3 loss to the New Britain Bees (15-23) at New Britain Stadium.

Darren Ford (3) opened up the scoring as the first Bees batter with a leadoff solo home run to left field in the first inning. Jonathan Galvez (2) launched a solo homer to left-centerfield in the second before a run-scoring fielder’s choice later in the innings put New Britain up 3-0.
