Bridgewater, NJ – The Somerset Patriots (12-5, 62-25) defeated the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (7-9, 49-37) 4-3 Saturday evening before a season high 8,164 fans at TD Bank Ballpark. The Patriots extended their winning streak to eight games.

July 14 Joseph McKelvey of Croydon, Pa. was cited for careless driving after his car rear-ended one driven on Route 27 by Karen Moore of Lawrenceville.  McKelvey said he applied his brakes but could not stop in time when he saw Moore’s car stopped in traffic.

Camden, NJ – The Somerset Patriots (10-5, 60-25) completed the four game sweep over the Camden Riversharks (3-12, 31-54) by winning 8-2 Thursday afternoon at Campbell’s Field. This was the Patriots sixth win in a row. With the victory the Patriots claimed the 2015 Turnpike Cup as they clinched the season series with a 13-4 head-to-head record.
