Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect in the Sept. 3 robbery of TD Bank in Franklin Park. Police were notified that the robbery had occurred at the Route 27 branch at about 12:58 p.m., according to a press release from the Franklin Township Police Department.

Lenon Reed, 72, passed away August 22 at Somerset Woods in Somerset. Mr. Reed was born April 17, 1945 in Rosehill, Mississippi, the son of Jessie and Annie May (Barlow) Reed. A 63-year-old township man was killed Sept. 1 after he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a parked car on Hillcrest Avenue, police said. Police said Son McCalla of Hillcrest Avenue was driving a 2001 Yamaha motorcycle when it struck the rear of the car shortly after 11 p.m.

South Middlebush Road was reopened on Sept. 1, to the apparent delight of many township residents. A part of the road was closed June 28 for a complete bridge replacement over the Six Mile Run.
