It’s not expected to be this bad, but the National Weather Service says we could be in for 2-4 inches of snow Monday through Tuesday.

Our area could be in for snow, sleet and freezing rain for most of Feb. 15 into the early morning hours of Feb. 16, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area from 9 a.m. Feb. 15 to 2 a.m. Feb. 16.

Snow is expected to begin by mid- to late-morning Feb. 15, and then mix with sleet and change to freezing rain by the evening, according to the NWS.

A prolonged period of freezing rain is expected, before changing over to rain Tuesday morning.

Early morning temperatures Feb. 15 are expected to be in the single digits, but will steadily rise throughout the day, according to the NWS.

Our area can expect 2 to 4 inches of snow and about a quarter-inch of ice during the storm, the NWS said.
