Photo Gallery: Township Finally Observes Independence Day

2016 July 4 Celebration - 43

Mother Nature cooperated, and the township’s postponed Independence Day celebration went off without a hitch on July 8.

With forecasts calling for thunder storms all night, and rain starting in the late afternoon, organizers rolled the dice by deciding to go on with the celebration at the municipal complex on DeMott Lane.

“We made the right call,” event organizer Bill Grippo said.

As advertised, there was food, music and, of course, fireworks.

Following are some scenes from the evening.
