Traffic on a portion of New Brunswick Road will be tied up for the next two weeks as the busy artery is given a facelift. The work on the portion of the road between John F. Kennedy Boulevard and DeMott Lane began June 9. The work will include milling and repaving the street.

Bridgewater, NJ – The Somerset Patriots have announced that infielder Nate Spears has been signed by the Philadelphia Phillies organization and will report to Triple-A. Spears was among the team’s best hitters, leading the Patriots in RBI with 21 and had four home runs in 37 games played this season before having his contract purchased by the Phillies organization.
