UPDATED: Winter Weather Advisory: More Snow, Record Cold Temps On The Way
We could be in for 2 to 6 inches of snow by Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area from 6 p.m. today until 10 a.m. tomorrow.
A mix of snow and rain should begin this afternoon, with some freezing rain possible later in the day, according to the NWS. Winds will be 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph, the NWS said.
The precipitation will change to all snow at around 7 p.m., and stay that way until late Monday morning, according to the NWS.
That means Monday morning’s commute will be tricky, with a trace of ice under the snow.
Monday night, we’re in for record cold temperatures. The NWS says the mercury could drop to between 5 degrees above and 5 degrees below zero.
Update: The Quail Brook Senior Center will be closed March 3, and there will be no Meals on Wheels deliveries.
