Warriors On The Academic Move

Klara Elizabeth Deak of Somerset was named to The University of Alabama Dean’s List for summer 2019. A total of 477 students enrolled during the 2019 summer term at UA were named to the Dean’s List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President’s List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).

Shellann Worthen of Somerset will be one of nearly 50 students serving as a resident assistant (RA) at Lebanon Valley College for the upcoming 2019-20 academic year. Worthen, a graduate of Union Catholic Regional High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in biochemistry and molecular biology at The Valley.

In Commencement exercises on May 21, 2019, FDU conferred more than 2,400 degrees, ranging from associates to doctorates, on graduates at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Local graduates include: Adam Kozubal, Ngozi Nwachukwu, Elizabeth Ilukwe, Tasheema Anderson, Kurt Dunbar, Anthony Casisa and Ashley Krushinski, all of Somerset, and Tanisha Varlow and Bridget Kusi-Agyapong of Franklin Park,

Wilkes University awarded 425 doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degrees to students graduating at the summer commencement ceremony held on Sept. 8. Danah Lassiter of Somerset received a Master of Arts in Creative Writing.
