Warriors On The Academic Move

  • Bentley University, Waltham, Mass., placed three student-athletes on the 2018 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference football team, including sophomore running back Andrew Brazicki of Franklin Park.
  • Brittney Jones of Somerset was named to Widener University Dean’s List.
  • Seton Hall University announce the following students who qualified for Fall 2018 Dean’s list: Nathaniel Asumeng, Shivani Desai, Isabella Fiorello, Alexander Melillo, John Mercado, Ashlin Miller, Ian Murphy, Kate Snyder and Kevin Suresh, all of Somerset, and Ava Davis of Franklin Park.
  • Justin Arnold of Somerset was named to the University of Hartford Dean’s List.
  • Bri Balderas of Somerset was a member of the 2018 women’s cross-country team at Felician University in Rutherford.
  • Ryan Tatu of Somerset makes the Dean’s List at Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester.
  • The following students have been named to the Fall 2018 Dean’s List at University of the Sciences. Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a “C” and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the fall of 2018: Parth Patel of Somerset, a Pharmacology and Toxicology student; Erika Estillore of Somerset, a Health Science student; Shanaya Patel of Somerset, a Doctor of Occupational Therapy student; Brinoy Patel of Franklin Park, a Doctor of Pharmacy student; Siham Naseer of Franklin Park, a Doctor of Pharmacy student; Krina Patel of Franklin Park, a Doctor of Physical Therapy student, and Tuhay Jalloh of Somerset, a Doctor of Physical Therapy student.
  •  Vitas Hrynkiewicz of Somerset is one of eight Youngstown State University football players to receive the Missouri Valley Football Conference President’s Council Academic Excellence Award. The President’s Council Academic Excellence Award requires a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point average (through the Fall 2018 semester) and participation in athletics a minimum of two years. The student-athlete must be within 18 hours of graduation.
