The ceremonial check was presented by Freeholder Peter Palmer to Youth Initiative coordinator Bruce Medley.

“The Board of Freeholders is pleased to present funding for so many worthwhile, fun and educational programs for county youth,” Freeholder Director Patrick Scaglione said in a release about the grants.  “Funds will be used to support a wide variety of prevention programs for youth in these local communities.”

The grant was part of $85,500 in overall grants awarded by the Freeholders to Somerset County youth services commissions.
