Township Democrats Offer Three To Replace Regan On Council

Township Democrats on July 28 picked three candidates to replace former Township Councilman Brian Regan.

Those selected were Shanel Robinson, William Galtieri and Joel Reiss.

The three candidates “have shown a true commitment to our township over the course of many years,” Democratic Party chairman Assemblyman Joe Danielsen said in an email to township clerk Ann Marie McCarthy.

The candidates will be submitted to the council for its selection for the seat, the term of which expires at the end of the year.

Robinson is on the Democratic slate for an at-large council seat in the November election.

Galtieri was an unsuccessful Freeholder candidate in 2012.

Reiss is a member of the township Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Reagan resigned earlier this month, citing his run for Somerset County Freeholder as the reason.
