Township Council Votes to Buy New Truck, Lease Copiers

The Township Council Nov. 26 voted to buy a new Dodge Durango for the Department of Fire Prevention and lease copiers for the finance and animal control departments.

The 2014 Durango is needed by the Fire Prevention department because of the addition of a new fire inspector, according to a memo from Township Clerk Ann Marie McCarthy.

The truck, including a tow package, cost$27,155. Money for the purchase was included in the 2013 budget, according to the memo.

The truck will be supplied by Carman Dodge of New Castle, De.

The council also voted to spend $7,260 on a 4-year lease for a copier to be used by the finance department, and $2,117 for a 3-year lease for a copier to be used by the animal control department.

The current leases on copiers in those department expires on Jan. 31, 2014, according to a memo by McCarthy.

Both copiers will be supplied by Ricoh USA of Pine Brook.
