Township Council Approves $289,000 Shopping List

Contracts for goods and services worth $289,723 were approved at the Jan. 7 Township Council meeting.

The council approved the $39,918 purchase of a pick-up truck with snow plow from Beyer Brothers Corp. of Fairview. The money comes from the 2013 capital spending plan.

A $13,000 contract with Peak Software, Sandy, Utah was also approved. The software will be used by the Recreation Department to help with registration and planning for the use of recreation fields.

The council also approved a $63,000 extension of its contract with open space land consultant Fran Varacalli.

The council also authorized:

  • A senior transportation agreement with Somerset County for 66,305
  • Two bids worth $60,000 to Data Network Solutions of Tinton Falls for telephone services
  • Spending $12,000 with Gannett for legal ads
  • A $17,500 contract with General Code Publishers, Rochester, N.Y. to print its development ordinance
  • An $18,000 contract with Ricoh USA, Pine Brook, for copier leases for the Franklin Police Department.
