Somerset Patriots Ballpark Comic Con Set For Saturday, May 21st

Ballpark Comic Con Web NewsBridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots will host their Fourth Annual Ballpark Comic Con at TD Bank Ballpark on Saturday, May 21st presented by the Hugs For Brady Foundation and the organization’s partner, The Palace at Somerset Park. The event will begin at 5:30 pm and last throughout the game.

 

Ballpark Comic Con offers fans and comic books lovers a unique experience combining family fun, baseball, and all things comics.

 

The first 1,000 Kids in attendance will receive a Superhero Cape.

 

Fans are encouraged to dress up as comic characters and participate in costume contests for great prizes, including tickets to Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con.

 

In celebration of the new movie Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, fans will be able to take pictures with Batman and Superman from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

 

The Somerset Patriots will host a special silent auction featuring comic-related items, unique experiences, and much more with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Hugs For Brady Foundation.

 

Comic artist Will Torres will be on site and draw exclusive sketch covers for fans in attendance.

 

Vendors currently include Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con, A Comic Adventure, Wild Pig Comics, Bazooka Jeff’s Batcave and Mirrors By Design.

 

There will also be a face painter that will focus on superhero artwork for fans to select from to enjoy the theme.

 

Tickets for the event start at $10.50 and include Ballpark Comic Con admission and the Somerset Patriots game scheduled for 7:05 pm against the Long Island Ducks

 

“Hugs for Brady celebrates its fifth anniversary with this year’s theme Hugging Heroes,” said Sherrie Wells, founder of the Hugs For Brady Foundation. “We are thrilled to partner with the Palace at Somerset Park and the Somerset Patriots for this year’s Ballpark Comic Con. This opportunity will allow local children battling cancer to forget about being sick for just a few hours and enjoy really special moments with all of the wonderful Superheroes they idolize.”

 

More activities, vendors, and special guests are still being added for this event.

 

The Hugs for Brady Foundation is dedicated to helping children with childhood cancers. Their moral compass has directed them to support children with cancer in any and every way possible. Last year, Hugs for Brady passed the $1,000,0000 milestone in terms of dollars raised to help kids with cancer.
