Ash will be on hand to address the crowd pre-game, throw out a ceremonial first pitch and meet fans at the ballpark for the first few innings of the game.

Ash was announced as the 30th Head Coach of Rutgers Football on December 7, 2015. He brings nearly two decades of collegiate coaching service, including five years in the Big Ten Conference (four as a defensive coordinator) and has helped lead his teams to four B1G Championships.

The 42-year old Ash served as co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach at The Ohio State University during their 2014 national championship season.

“I have been fortunate to learn the game of football from so many great coaches and mentors who have prepared me for this incredible opportunity,” Ash said at his introductory press conference in December. “There are so many wonderful things about Rutgers University and our state that we will build a program which can compete in a very difficult Big Ten Conference.”
