Regal Bank Merger With Community First Bank Finalized

Livingston-based Regal Bank now has a Somerset office, with the completion of its merger with Community First Bank.

The merger, first announced late last year, became effective at the end of business on March 31.

In addition to its Elizabeth Avenue location, Regal Bank now has branches in Livingston, Roseland, Florham Park, Millburn, West Orange, Summit and Springfield.

The bank assets are now approximately $480 million, according to a press release about the merger.

“This is an exciting new stage in the growth of Regal Bank,” David Orbach, Regal’s chairman of the board, said in the release.  “We look forward to providing high quality service to our new customers, and expanding our presence in Union and Somerset Counties.”

President and Chief Executive Officer, Tom Lupo stated: products and services to customers in Union and Somerset, while positioning Regal Bank for continued growth,” Tom Lupo, Regal Bank’s president and CEO, said in the release.
