Four township residents who authorities say ran a “pornography production company” out of their Coburn Lane home have been arrested on charges including aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

The four residents were allegedly filming pornography in the house, and, the release said, investigators found sexually explicit photos and videos involving a 7-year-old child who also lived there.

Those arrested were identified as Sean Allen, 51, Marina Volz (formerly known as Matthew Volz), 30, Ashley D. Romero (formerly known as Adam Romero), 26, and Dulcinea Gnecco, 19.

The arrests are the result of a five-month investigation conducted by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit, according to the release.

In January, the SCPO received a referral from the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency that a 7-year old child was living in a home on Coburn Lane where the roommates were creating pornography, according to the release.

A search warrant was executed at the house on Jan. 28, when it was discovered the child did live at the house, and was exposed to sexually explicit material through the existence of a pornography production studio, according to the release.

Electronic items, including cell phones and computers, were seized for forensic examination, the release said. The child was removed from the home by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency in January 2019, according to the release.

Several sexually explicit photos and videos of the child were found on the devices during a forensic investigation, according to the release. The four were arrested at the home on May 29 without incident, according to the release.

The charges against the four are as follows:

  • Marina E. Volz (formerly known as Matthew L. Volz) – 1st degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, 1st degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child (for the manufacturing of child pornography), two counts of 2nd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 3rd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child (for the possession of child pornography)
  • Ashley D. Romero (formerly known as Adam D. Romero) – 1st degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, 1st degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child (for the manufacturing of child pornography), two counts of 2nd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and 3rd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child (for the possession of child pornography)
  • Sean F. Allen – 1st degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, three counts of 3rd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child (one count specifically for the possession of child pornography)
  • Dulcinea Gnecco – 1st degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child (for the manufacturing of child pornography) and 3rd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child (for the possession of child pornography)

The four were lodged at the Somerset County Jail, Somerville, pending a detention hearing, according to the release.
