Police Log: May 9 – May 12, 2014

Police shieldA gold colored BMX bicycle belonging to a Hamilton Street resident was reported stolen. The bike was valued at $87.

§

A car driven by Robert Griggs of Kendall Park was stopped in traffic in the parking lot of 3331 Route 27 when it was struck in the rear by a car driven by Sandeep Dharmavaramkottan of Franklin Park. Dharmavaramkottan said he thought Griggs’ car was moving.

§

Jose Carrera of Dunellenwas cited for careless driving after his auto struck the rear of one driven by Gail LaFerrera of Old Bridge. LaFerrera’s car was stopped at the light at Weston Road and Cedar Grove Lane when it was struck.

Attila Juhasz of Monmouth Junction told police that he was looking out of the side window of his car while driving down Route 27 when his auto struck the rear of one driven by Kevin Jackson of South River. Juhasz was cited for careless driving.

May 10

Jordan DeGrasse, 21, of Somerset was arrested on two outstanding warrants from other towns, police said. DeGrasse was transported to Somerset County Jail, Somerville on $3,500 bail.

May 12

Eric Goldberg, 26 of East Brunswick, was arrested in New Brunswick on an outstanding township warrant, police said. He as taken to SOmerset County Jail, Somerville.
