Plainfield Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash

A 35-year-old Plainfield man was killed Nov. 10 when his motorcycle crashed on Blackwells Mills Road, police said.

Township police received a 9-1-1 call about the crash at approximately 11:37 p.m., according to a press release from Franklin Township Police.

Responding officers found George Garrett on the ground, off the road, according to the release. Police said he was unresponsive and unconscious, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The initial investigation showed that Garrett was traveling east on Blackwells Mills Road on a 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle when the bike left the road near Van Cleef Road and crashed into a ditch, according to the release.

The road was closed for several hours during the initial investigation, police said.
