Richard H. Hartwig, Griggstown

Richard H. Hartwig, 96, passed away at The Pavillions at Forrestal in Plainsboro on Aug. 26, 2013.

Born in New York City on July 10, 1917, he and his family moved to Griggstown in 1955. Mr. Hartwig was a self-employed auto mechanic and painter for many years. He was a member of the Griggstown Volunteer Fire Company and the Gobblers Knob Gun Club in Griggstown.

Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Hartwig; two brothers, Charles and Frank Hartwig and a sister, Helen Hartwig.

Surviving are a daughter, Paulette Neas of Fort Collins, CO; a son, Richard C. Hartwig of Milltown; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Relatives and friends may gather at The Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Avenue, Princeton, NJ 08542 on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 9:00AM to 10:00AM. Funeral services will begin at 10:00AM followed by burial in Ten Mile Run Cemetery, Griggstown, NJ. Memorial donations, in his memory, to the Griggstown Volunteer Fire Company are appreciated.
