The Franklin Woman’s Club hosted its 25th annual Tricky Tray Basket Auction at Franklin High School on March 16.

The event, which sold out by Feb. 21, welcomed more than 300 attendees who purchased tickets to try to win any of more than 400 baskets and prizes donated by numerous area businesses.  Prizes included a 40-inch Ultra high-definition television, Disney Passes, Keurig Coffee Maker, the Instant Pot Cooker, Vera Bradley merchandise, and numerous specialty baskets and gift certificates to area restaurants, tea rooms, shops and boutiques. The event also featured door prizes, a 50/50 and a Dessert Bar with refreshments also donated by local food establishments and Woman’s Club members.

The Franklin Woman’s Club would like to extend its appreciation to the many businesses that donated refreshments and/or purchased ads for the event program to support this important fundraising event. As a result, the Franklin Woman’s Club will be able to fund several scholarships for qualifying Franklin Township graduating high school females and will provide funds to help support the operations of other selected not-for-profit organizations in the community.  (Note: To be considered for this year’s scholarship award, applicants must submit materials by March 27, 2018 as detailed at the club’s website – www.franklinwomansclub.com).

The Franklin Woman’s Club, part of the General and New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs, is a non-profit, non-partisan and non-sectarian service organization committed to improving the community through volunteerism.
