Harry Ettlinger, one of the famed “Monument Men” featured in a hit movie by the same name, gave a talk about his exploits during World War II April 8 at the Canal Walk Hadassah.

The talk, which was open to the entire Canal Walk community, was attended by about 224 people, Canal Walk resident Paul Walitsky said in an email about the event.

The talk was organized by Zorina Walitsky and the Hadassah Presidium, along with the Canal Walk management.

Ettlinger and his fellow Monument Men returned to their rightful owners thousands of paintings and pictures stolen by the Nazis during World War II.
