Life Story: Patricia Sroczynski, 77; Daughter Lives In Somerset

Mrs. Patricia Sroczynski passed away on April 28 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick at 77 years of age.

She was born in Elizabeth and lived there as a young lady. She moved to Linden with her late husband John Sroczynski, where the young couple raised their family. She moved to Barnegat in 2007.

Mrs. Sroczynski worked as a homemaker but also was employed as an Avon Lady. She was a devout Catholic, praying the Rosary daily and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Parish in Barnegat. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Port 232 in Barnegat where her and her husband would go to play BINGO. She was a huge Elivs fan and frequently watched both British and the American Soap Opera and when not watching TV, she loved to read a good book and the Sunday papers. She was a loving wife and mother.

She was pre-deceased by her husband John Sroczynski in 2013.

She is survived by her children Patricia Ann Richards and her husband James of Colonia, John Sroczynski and his wife Pamela of Barnegat, Thomas Sroczynski also of Barnegat and Donna Ostrom and her husband Charles of Somerset. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amber and Meghan Richards, Peter Sroczynski and Christopher Ostrom.
