Lois Brooks, 87, passed away surrounded by her family on March 6 at her home in Somerset.

Mrs. Brooks was born March 6, 1932 in Newark to the late Sydney and Sadie (Metzger) Sherman.

Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Brooks, and her sister, Roberta Harris.

She is survived by her children and step children, Geri Schuhalter, Andrea Pitzalis, Susan Franzese, Kathy and Bonnie Brooks and Richard Brooks; her eight grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren and a few nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private at the request of the family.
