Life Story: Leonard Fellin, Brother Of Township Resident

Leonard Fellin passed away on March 19 at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was a lifetime resident of New Brunswick and a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Church.

Mr. Fellin was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School and Seton Hall University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He was employed for many years at Cooper Distributing in Newark as a Sales Representative and at Macy’s Herald Square in New York. He was a longtime member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks in New Brunswick and former Scout Master of Troop 20 in New Brunswick.

He was pre-deceased by his father Leonard Fellin Sr. in 2014.

Mr. Fellin is survived by his longtime companion Debra Rubin of New Brunswick; his mother Lorraine (Homa) Fellin of New Brunswick, and his brother Kevin Fellin and wife Christine of Somerset, and nieces Kaitlin and Samantha Fellin.

A funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. March 25 at St. Peter the Apostle Church in New Brunswick. Committal services will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Piscataway.

Visiting will be held from 4-8 p.m. March 25 at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Patriots’ Path Council Boy Scouts of America in memory of Leonard Fellin Jr., supporting the Scouting Initiative in New Brunswick at 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
