Life Story: Blanche DelCasale; Longtime Somerset Resident

Blanche DelCasale passed away May 29 at her home in Somerset.

She was born in South River and lived in Avenel before moving to Somerset in 1946. She was a graduate of South River High School and continued her education at Rutgers University and Villanova.

Mrs. DelCasale was employed by Merck in Rahway in the Pharmaceutical Research and Development Laboratory and later at Biodynamic Inc. in East Millstone.

She was pre-deceased by her first husband Harry Seyler and a son Harry J. Seyler.

Mrs. DelCasale is survived by her husband of 62 years Thomas DelCasale of Somerset.

She is also survived by her sons Thomas DelCasale and his wife Lorrie of Somerset and Terry DelCasale and his wife Adrienne of Lawrenceville and her grandson James.

Visiting will be held from 3-6 PM on Sunday June 3, 2018 at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick.

Contributions in Mrs. DelCasale’s name may be made to The Franklin Township Animal Shelter 475 DeMott Lane in Somerset.
