In Your Opinion: Humanity Is To Be Cherished By All

By Syed M. Rizvi

As Muslims, we don’t have to defend ourselves. Our record and our past, is an open book for today, yesterday and the day before. We have nothing to be ashamed of. We are not some political toys to be used for someone’s political advantage. Indeed, we are a force to be reckoned with. We are not some pawn for a presidential candidate to take advantage of, and then placed when done. We are above and beyond that.

No doubt, there are some rotten apples who sadly have joined our ranks or have sprung amongst us. These are the products of political and religious fanatics. This is as a result of Wahabism which has nothing to do with the real Islam. Instead, it has hurt and tarnished Islam and Muslims more than it has damaged others.

If someone is smart, then see the reality, see the difference. If someone is naïve, then continue to play politics and with the emotions of others.

If someone wishes to take advantage of this, be my guest. But if someone sincerely wants to do something and avoid any further disaster, then take care of the snake.

Humanity is to be cherished by all and safeguarded by all regardless of religion, culture or background.
