Franklin Township Soccer Club Kicks Off Season

The Franklin Township Soccer Club started its 2015 recreation division season April 18 with games at Middlebush Park and Samson G. Smith School.

The club, which boasts about 1,000 players, will run for the next 10 weeks, although no games are scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, said Rich Seamon, an executive board member.

The club will start another nine-week season after Labor Day, he said.

The club’s traveling division will hold tryouts at Middlebush Park on April 26 and May 9.

The club also has a “Nippers” program for children aged 4 and 5 years, and a “Top Soccer” program for children with disabilities.
