FHS Sports: Girls’ Indoor Track Team Takes Skylands Championship, Boys Take Second Place

The Franklin High School girls’ indoor track captured the Skylands Conference Championship Jan. 25 at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa.

The boys’ team finished second, losing to Hunterdon Central High School.

First-place finishers for the girls were shot-putter Christina Abiola with a throw of 38’ 2.75”; Danielle Delgado in the 55-meter hurdles, with a time of 8.30 and Irina Ewing in the 55-meter dash, with a time of 7.59.

The girls’ 4,400-meter relay team finished third, with a time of 4:10.69.

Selena Thorne finished second in the high jump with a jump of  5’ 2”.

Ashley Berry placed third in the shot put, with a throw of 35’ 10”.

Delgado also finished fifth in the 55-meter dash (7.68) and fourth in the 400-meter dash (1:01.49).

Morgan Dey finished 13th in the 400 meter dash (1:05.27).

Hillary Gooding finished 33rd in the 1,600-meter run (6:25.61) and 24th in the 3,200-meter run (13:24.67).

Malika Lewis finished 21st in the 800-meter run (2:40.40).

Grace Proctor finished 29th in the 1,600-meter run (6:06.38).

Heather Scafidi finished 30th in the 1,600-meter run (6:16.23) and 18th in the 3,200-meter run (12:56.23).

Jasmine Uzzell finished fifth in the shot put (31’2”).

Ariyonna Wright finished 14th in the 800-meter run (2:34.73).

On the boys’ side, first-place finishers were Josh Lockhart in the 55-meter hurdles, with a time of 8 even; Javon Pittman in the 800-meter run, with a time of 2:00.14 and the boys’ 4×400 relay team, with a time of 3:29.76.

Anfernee Joseph finished second in the 800-meter run (2:00.23).

Ross Clarke finished third in the 800-meter run (2:01.89), and Anthony Dawson finished third in the 400-meter dash (52.55).

David Anderson finished 12th in the shot put (38’ 2.75”).

Nathaniel Gravesande fnished eighth in the 400-meter dash (53.23).

Josh Lockhart placed sixth in the shot put (44’ 8.75’) and eighth in the 55-meter dash (6.90).

Nick Mayo placed sixth in the 55-meer dash (6.83).

Tyler Rosikiewicz placed 12th in the 3,200-meter run (10:42.93)

Nile Uzze;; placed fourth in the 400-meter dash (52.62).
