Easton Avenue Collision Leaves One Car Overturned, No Reported Injuries
A two-car collision on Easton Avenue on Feb. 1 apparently resulted in no major injuries, police said.
Shortly after 10 a.m., a 2001 Honda Civic driven by Anderson Moronta, 25, of Somerset collided with a 2002 Honda Civic driven by Yaxanna Rivera, 19, of East Brunswick, while the two cars were on Easton Ave., near Oakland Avenue.
Police said Rivera attempted a left turn onto Oakland when the two cars collided. Rivera’s car was pushed over on its side, leaving Rivera unable to extricate herself, police said.
Township police arrived and were able to get Rivera out of her car, according to a release about the accident. East Franklin Fire Department also responded as did the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Emergency Medical Services. Rivera refused treatment at the scene police said.
There were partial lane closures on Easton Avenue for approximately 40 minutes during the investigation and subsequent clean-up, police said.
