Carole J. Belloff, Member Of East Franklin FD Ladies’ Auxiliary

With heavy hearts, our family announces the passing of Carole J. Belloff, who passed away suddenly at home Friday, September 2, 2016.

Carole was born in New Brunswick, and lived her entire life in the Central Jersey area, settling in Somerset, where she lived for over 46 years. She was a legal secretary in the Middlesex County Courts for over 25 years, retiring in 2005. She was also a volunteer in various organizations including the Neighborhood Preservation Project in Franklin Township and the East Franklin Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She was always willing to lend a hand, and was a tireless and enthusiastic individual with many talents and interests.

But it was Carole’s family that was the true joy of her life. Carole was a devoted wife of over 48 years to her husband, Robert L. Belloff Jr. She was also a loving and caring mother to her children and their spouses, Michael Belloff and Sandra Bruno, Robert Belloff and his wife Dina, and Melissa Macarone and her husband Justin. She was the true matriarch of the family, devoting boundless amounts of time, love, and energy to her six grandchildren; Bob, Michael, Katie, Joey, Zoe, and Ashlynn. Nanny’s house hosted her grandchildren so often, it was practically a second home. And Carole’s family was not limited to her relatives. Anyone who came into Carole’s life with a need for love and support very quickly received it. Whether it was a babysitting job in a pinch, an extra gift under the tree for the someone who showed up empty-armed on Christmas Eve, or just a kind word and a hug, Carole was always ready to include you in her clan. Every stray animal that walked the streets of her neighborhood enjoyed a free meal and a soft bed. Her love and kindness are irreplaceable and will be sorely missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset, NJ 08873. Visiting hours will be from 2-4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. Funeral Services will begin at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, 190 Sanford Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 500 Somerset St., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that a donation be made to Angel Tails Rescue at www.angeltailsrescue.org, PO Box 5203, Somerset, NJ 08873, in honor of Carole. Our family is grateful to all for their love and support as we mourn Carole’s loss and celebrate her wonderful life.
