Bunker Hill Road Resurfacing Set To Start Sept. 29

Bunker Hill Road is scheduled to be resurfaced starting Sept. 29, and the work is expected to last two to three weeks.

The resurfacing of Bunker Hill Road from Canal Road to Route 27 is set to start during the evening of Sept. 29.

The work will also encompass part of Canal Road and the Griggstown Causeway, according to an announcement from the township.

Work will be done from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, and should last two to three weeks, depending on the weather, according to the announcement.

The work will require a section-by-section full road closure, according to the announcement.

Affected residents will have full access to their homes, the announcement said, but there may be some delays if if equipment is moving in front of driveways, or if fresh asphalt is being rolled.

Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes during the work.

The work is being done by the Somerset County Department of Public Works.
