Vandals Strike Mailboxes In 18 Incidents On Five Streets

Police are investigating 18 cases of criminal mischief reported on five streets Jan. 14.

In each of the cases, someone drove a vehicle onto properties and struck mailboxes, according to a release from the Franklin Township Police Department. The incidents happened on John E. Busch and Walnut avenues, and Culver, 9th and 12th streets, according to the release.

Damage from the incidents was valued at between $60 and $300, according to the release.

Members of the Franklin Township Police Department’s Patrol Division, Detective Bureau and Traffic Safety Bureau are actively investigating the incidents and are following up on several leads, according to the release.
