A township family has started an online fundraising campaign to help meet a family member’s medical expenses.

Ryan Krushinski, a freshman at the Somerset County Vocational and Technical School, was seriously injured in a Nov. 29 ATV accident.

According to information posted on the family’s GoFundMe Web site, Krushinski is currently in the Robert Wood Johnson Children’s Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

Ryan’s father, Doug, is chairman of the township Fire District No. 3 Board of Fire Commissioners, and his mother, Wendy, is vice president of the East Franklin Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary.

“Ryan participates in events with the East Franklin Fire Department throughout the year,” according to the GoFundMe page. “He’s attended parades, fire prevention, Holiday parties and much more.”

The money raised will be used to help pay Krushinski’s medical bills, according to the page. Anything extra will be donated to the children’s hospital.
