UPDATE: ‘Pepper’ Found Unharmed, Returned To Township Family

Update: Police on June 27 said that Pepper, the Schnauzer/Poodle mix who was stolen June 24 from a Hunt Road home, has been recovered and returned to her family.

Two “persons of interest” are in custody, according to a press release.

The matter is still under investigation, police said.

Township police are seeking the public’s help in their investigation of the theft of a dog, laptop and jewelry from a Hunt Road home.

The resident called police at about 2:14 p.m. June 24 to report the theft, according to a township police press release.

The resident said she left her home for a short while and returned to find her dog gone, as well as the items.

The dog, Pepper, is described as being a 1-year-old black Schnauzer/Poodle mix with white markings over her eyes and on her chin and feet.

The laptop and jewelry were valued at $12,000, police said.

Police said the woman told them she may have left her back door unlocked.
