York, PA – Southpaw Nik Turley struck out a season-high 12, and the Somerset Patriots (30-25, 68-57) pitchers retired the final 17 batters they faced as the visitors blanked the York Revolution (29-24, 69-54) 5-0 Friday evening at PeoplesBank Ballpark.
“I love to compete and challenge hitters and tonight I was able to be a lot more consistent than my last couple of starts,” said Turley of his outing. He earned the win (4-1) hurling six innings while only scattering four hits. He walked none and now has struck out 53 batters in eight appearances this year.
