An ordinance creating a $1.8 million road reconstruction program was introduced April 23 by the Township Council.
The Council will pay for the work with $1,662,500 in bonds and an $87,500 cash down payment.
The work will entail milling, paving and resurfacing all or part of the targeted streets.
The streets included in the program are:
- Spruce Street
- Ellen Street (Berry-Dead End)
- Jacques Lane
- Stephen Drive
- Kee Avenue
- Webster Road
- Henry Street
- Vince Road
- Fourth Street
- Maher Road
- Berger Street (JFK-Dead End)
- Dayton Avenue (Oakland-Franklin)
- Sydney Place
- Vassar Street
- Pembrook Court
- Epping Court
- Arlington Avenue (Easton-Highland)
- Franklin Street
- Shelly Drive
- Dorset Court
- Girard Avenue (Belmar-Dead End)
- Kossuth Street
- Corwen Court
- Byron Place
- Sycamore Place
- Barmouth Court
- Baylor Street
- Rose Street
- Kyle Road
- Surrey Road
- Summerall Road
- Rodney Avenue (Arlington-Oakland)
The ordinance will have a second reading and final vote in May.
