A South Brunswick man was arrested on June 17 on charges that he repeatedly sexually assaulted a township girl over a 13-month period.
Brandon O. Cox, 20, was charged with 2nd Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault and 3rd Degree Endangering, according to a press release from Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano.
The victim, a 14-year-old girl, and her mother reported the assaults to township police on May 22, according to the release. The girl told police that on four occasions between March 2013 and April 2014, she was threatened and forced to have sex with Cox in the township.
Cox was arrested at his South Brunswick home, according to the release.
Cox remains in Somerset County Jail, Somerville, in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
