Bridgewater, NJ – The Somerset Patriots have announced the signing of right-handed relief pitcher Arik Sikula.
“Speaking with some other guys around minor league baseball, I am very grateful for the opportunity to play in Somerset,” said Sikula. “I had probably the best baseball conversation I have ever had with [manager] Brett [Jodie] the other day, and I told him I have always seen myself as a versatile pitcher that can help out across the bullpen. It is going to be fun playing for a pitcher.”
Sikula enters his first season both with the Somerset Patriots and in the Atlantic League. The 27 year-old has five years of service in minor league baseball; all with the Toronto Blue Jays organization.
