Six Injured In Early Morning Car Crash At Easton Avenue, Landing Lane

Six people were injured Nov. 26 in a two-car crash at Easton Avenue and Landing Lane that closed Easton for more than two hours.

Township police received a 9-1-1 call reporting the accident at about 7:03 a.m., according to a press release from the FTPD. Arriving officers found the occupants of both cars trapped in their vehicles.

The investigation showed that a 2006 Toyota Sienna driven by Nohelia Mejia-Martinez, 33, of Monmouth Junction, was traveling north on Easton when it collided with a 2002 Dodge Durango driven south on Easton by Marcelo Dos Reis, 43, of Edison, according to the release.

Both drivers were extricated by township firefighters, and they and their four adult passengers were taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to the release.

The accident is still under investigation.
