It’s Resta’s Car Care’s 70th anniversary, but for 70 minutes on Sept. 17, it’s the customers who will get the present.
From noon to 1:10 p.m. on Sept. 17, gasoline customers at Resta’s, 1873 Amwell Rd., at the corner of Cedar Grove Lane, can receive up to seven gallons of regular gasoline at 70 cents below the listed price.
Resta’s will then donate 35 cents of every gallon to the Franklin Township Food Bank.
“It’s a customer appreciation celebration,” Resta said. “Seventy years of happy customers.”
“Expensive, but worth it,” he said of the offer, adding that it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of many loyal customers.
Resta inherited the gasoline and car repair business from his father, who opened the station in 1946. Although the station’s branding has changed several times over the years, it has remained in the Resta family since its inception.
